Default FVD Brombacher – 997TT Do it yourself flash / incl. Diagnostic software $ 1,995.00

FVD-Brombacher is proud to announce that we are now offering do-it-yourself flash load ECU software upgrades for the 997 Turbo and GT2! Also included with our latest software version for the 997TT & GT2 is a free single user license for Durametric basic software, allowing you to read out and diagnose fault conditions on your vehicle.

FVD-Brombacher’s flash load software is a user friendly Windows® based software application that provides the ability to read out and load programmed software directly thru the vehicles OBD II port. Programming is a simple, computer guided experience and requires hardly any user input. FVD-Brombacher supplies the customer with a USB cable which interfaces directly with the vehicles diagnostic port and our companion flash load software program. Read-out of the vehicles ECU takes place with the click of a button thru the vehicle-encrypted cable, which automatically creates and sends a file to a secure server at FVD-Brombacher Headquarters in Germany. Our software programmers then extract the file’s data, tune the software, then modify the program to suit the customer’s individual needs. Customers are able to express individual tuning requirements in a text field at the end of original file read-out before the program is sent to Germany. Here, the customer can input performance upgrades already installed on the vehicle and our programmers can adapt software tuning to extract maximum performance gains out of existing vehicle modifications.

Whether your vehicle is heavily modified or completely stock, FVD-Brombacher will custom tune our programming to suit individual requirements. While we are able to modify a program based on individual needs, FVD-Brombacher tunes Porsche ECU’s with the following modifications in mind:

-Increasing throttle response
-Modifying Ignition Timing
-Optimizing Air and fuel ratios
-Removal of the top speed limiter
-Increasing the rev limiter
-Modification of boost mapping on turbo vehicles

All of FVD-Brombacher’s programming is proprietary, developed in house by FVD, for FVD, our partners and you, our customers. After modifications are made to the software, the file is then sent back via email directly to the customer who can then load the program back into the vehicle. The read-out of the original software and loading of the new program takes only minutes and the entire flash load process from start to finish takes under an hour. Customers also have the ability to flash their ECU back to stock anytime using the same cable and software, as the customer is also sent their original, unmodified program file. FVD-Brombacher stands behind all of their products and offers a 14-day money back guarantee on software upgrades. FVD-Brombacher also offers free software program updates should the customer decide to step up their performance and choose one of our level kits.

Holy crap Rhonda....this is VERY cool. Way to go. Hope someday the durametric software will do all that the PIWIS does, for less than the cost of a PIWIS ($26,000).

But again, hats off, nice one.

Eric,

Thanks so much. This is an incredible value considering you get the flash and the diagnostic tool!

Thanks,
Rhonda

Well, I did the flash last night. I had another company's flash on my car for over a yr. While it was good, there was a lot of room for improvement. (let's just leave it at that)
The uploading/downloading process was easy, and I'm not a computer guy at all. Rhonda, and especially Florian at FVD were extremely helpul, even after hrs on a Saturday night when I had a computer issue. The FVD techs in Germany were extremely helpful as well in customizing my tune. Can't say enough about these guys/gals.
The new ECU tune is really smooth with consistant power delivery throughout the RPM band. The HP/TQ don't just peak and drop off, it carries all the way to redline, pulling all the way. Perfect for the track!
I plan on doing a dyno pull next week to evaluate it compared to my old tune, should be interesting.
RJ, you need to do this!

Wait a minute, you're not allowed to make any claims unless you have a documented downhill 60-130 time off somebody's friends third cousin's vbox with 6 independent witnesses.... oh sorry that's another board
congrats on the new tune!

Does Can post over here - we need to get him over here

TT Surgeon
You obviously don't need to mention which "tune" you have replaced but can you say specifically "how" the drive feels different ?

When I paid for 2 days engine dyno time I always wondered how these rolling road based jobbies done in a few hours performed ?

The power delivery is constant up to redline, just like the FVD dyno curve (555HP version). The other one was very abruptly on with a sharp drop off in hp/tq after the initial boost hit, which drove me crazy at the track.
I usually have the guys at Farnbacher-Loles do my dyno work, I'll post my findings next week (if they're still open).
60-130 times are not as meaningful to me as my own lap times at the glen, I ran extremely consistant 2:12s, should shave at least 2 seconds off..

Very cool system! So if one were to flash back to stock before going to the dealer, would there be any way for them to tell the car had been chipped previously.

Downhill is a little mild. Trying to achieve terminal velocity in a 997TT off the side of a mountain is more like it. Sorry, I didn't just say that did I? Anyway honesty is alway's the best policy.

TT Surgeon,

Glad to hear that you are enjoying the software!

By the way here are the pictures of our latest TT headers from M&M...

Thanks,
Rhonda

Regardless of what companies say, I'm sure the dealer can tell it's been tuned. Hell my car is 3yrs old, almost off warranty, who cares.
