2012?
I urge you to reconsider. The new 911 is not going to be similar to what you have now... it will be more of a crossbreed with the panamera...

How do you figure?

I know Porsche is working on the new 928 which will be based off of the Panamera platform!

New 911 (991, 2012 MY launch) is longer and is reported to have a lot of Panamera interior styling)

Unfortunately it seems Porsche is allowing their design to be dictated by the 2020 USA CAFE requirements. The bigger the footprint of the chassis the less MPG the vehicle is required to get! And for the Panamera styled interior well that is just the way Porsche is taking the design; that is understandable. It's just it all started with the Pana!

I would say that your GT1 dry sump Mezger Turbo is the real keeper.

I am sure the 998 will be awesome. I am sure Porsche knows what they are doing. A new model typically takes flack initially, until everybody warms up to it.

Yes, I did think of that after I posted my message. I noticed the OP had a 997.2! Thought it was a TT
More food for thought then...

My '07TT has been flawless in every respect and definitely a keeper - so what does that make +4 or thereabouts?
