Default Turbo S emblem

Driving around today, I got overtaken by a grey brand new turbo S. The Turbo part of the emblem was silver/grey, however the S was in red. So something like this: Turbo S.
Is that just the owner trying to show off with his S or do all of them come like that?

Could be but I'm not so sure. There are TTS's out there. I have seen them on dealer lots. The red S is an available factory option. I have seen them on a C4S and Cayenne TTS before.

Can be ordered any way (of course at a ridiculous extra cost far beyond Eric's!). MY TT has the emblem painted body color (basalt black) which suits me well (I prefer understated).

Careful Carl...that is NOT the S that is on your Porsche.

We carry only the OEM units, same size as original, in any finish. The one you linked is smaller in scale/size, not the same.

FWIW -It is a factory option - I have seen a couple of new ones for sale with color combination. They are fast cars, with lousy engines...

How can you state that since they are so new ?

Do I note a hint of jealousy

The engines are no longer based on the sturdy time tested GT1 racing engine block. (see photo, compare crankcase "sump").

BTW, Does anybody know what are the actual stock distinguishing features of a Turbo __S__?

Somewhere at this very moment, RL member Boolala just detected a disturbance in the force...I would expect him to now re-open this forums infamous 997Turbo dry sump vs wet sump thread.
