Default Want to but oem 997 Turbo Wheels

Hello everyone,

Just bought a used 996 turbo and I am in the process of "upgrading" it.
I like the 997 turbo wheels, and I was wondering if anyone here has a set in their garage that they want to sell. I would prefer them to have good rubber, and unscratched. Kevin at UMW tells me they can go for about 1500, since there a lot of you guys that are upgrading. I live in northern california and would be willing to pick up with cash in hand. kentoft@yahoo.com

Whoops, I want to "buy" the wheels, not "but" them. embarassing little typo there.

I have pristine OEM turbo wheels. Rears need replacing. Too lazy to put them up for sale and ship them out, but if anyone is interested, lemme know

Bonehead...I pm'ed you on the wheels.

Dinorocz...I am still looking for unadulterated wheels at this point, but thanks.

If anyone else wants to get rid of their wheels, let me know!

Just as an fyi, I asked Wheel Enhancement what the trade-in value would be for my TT wheels and they said $1,500. Obviously they sell them for more ... but from 15+ years experience I can say they are a very reputable source if you want to go that route.

jcnesq,

Just called them...very nice and informative. Their mark-up makes them significantly more expensive than direct from porsche owner. I would be happy to pay 1500 for tires and wheels.

not sure anyone will sell you a set WITH tires for $1500, each rim alone is 1600 or so from the dealer so getting a set of wheels for $1500 is a great deal. FYI

Latest deal just fell through...I am still looking. I am flexible on price depending on condition/rubber etc.

Did more research...looks like I cannot use the 997 turbo rubber on my 996 turbo. So Just looking for stock rims in great condition, don't care about the tires.

Not sure what you're looking for - 997TT rims or 996TT rims? Are you sure the offset on the 997TT will work on the 996 and if they do I guess I'm not sure why the tires won't. What size tires are you going to mount on the 997TT rims for your 996?
