Thumbs up It was a VERY bizarre day for the TT....

Driving around today, was talking watches with a friend.... specifically about his MB&f Frog and his new HYT H1 (links below)

MB&F Frog

HYT H1

Very cool watches and totally different but awesome in their own ways...

so he mentions to me that he ordered a Turbo S last week in my same color combo (Carrera white on Espresso, with White Seat Backs and PCCB)... and how he wishes he had a manual 997TT in the same combo to match it...long story short, he had a very large collection of watches and many of which are very difficult to obtain and I have an interest in.... so after about 13 minutes of discussion.. a deal was made and I no longer own a 997TT, but instead will have a new watch on my wrist next week.... :/

I sincerely appreciate all the help and people putting up with my questions and concerns.... I definitely still have an Interest in 997TT and will be on the lookout for a white PDK coupe... (or possibly another M/T 997.1 BUT without a stage 3 sachs clutch so i dont feel stupid starting from a standstill or creeping over speed bumps)

really loved the 997, regardless of the power output it was lightyears better than my 991 (just great feedback).. my only dislikes were the sach's stage 3 clutch needed for the power output as with the assisted clutch it has a very small engagement point (local shop told me they could go the GT2RS clutch setup and it makes it gradual engagement again).. other dislike was the steering feel... felt totally different than my RWD 997's...

Hey I would have given you my IWC Porsche Design Titantium collectible for the war (it even runs quite fast and I always tell people it runs fast because its Porsche!).

Anyway, I can hear your new watch ticking off the minutes until your next car purchase.

funny about the running fast.. what most people dont realize is most brands time their watches fast from the factory so as they slow down with age they become "more accurate" and then later less accurate.. if they set em dead on.. they would run slow after a few years.... they will try and say they set em fast "so you're early but never late"..

not sure what's next, always wanted a 964 but one without any problems... seen a few on here heavily restored and cared after but they seem to come up rarely.. i def don't want a fixer upper...

Beautiful watches. Stunning. Please post what you get. Good luck on your hunt for a 964.

Hehe, Riley that was a short love affair even by your standards!

The 964 is a great car. Under-appreciated by most but lately they are really, really hard to find for sale anywhere. Especially a 92+ manual coupe. Best of luck on the hunt!

the irony of it is i traded the GT-R for a watch as well, a limited AP offshore...

haha, you don't like the MB&F... i think it's badass but not what i traded for... i'll have pics on wrist when it comes in... not sure if i'll have him ship watch or make it more fun and swap in person...

the funniest thing is he said to me "we'll do the deal, only if you throw in the bike and bike rack!".. he's a different size than me, so i ordered him up a fresh new bike in his size. LOL
