Default Looking for Carmon red 997tt

I'm looking to purchase a 997tt and in particular I'm after a Carmon/ carmona red with manual transmission.

I've located a car that fits the bill except it's a tip. I haven't dismissed it completely, but I strongly prefer a manual. Since this group may know better than most, I'd like to gauge the likelihood of finding a manual 997tt in Carmon red. Does anyone know the build numbers in various configurations? I'm tempted to just go with the tip, but it changes the car a bit for me.

Am I waiting on a unicorn? Thanks guys.

Tim,
I can say that I've frequented this place for a long time and have never seen that combination. I've maybe seen two Carmon reds and they have been with Natural Brown interiors. Perhaps you ARE unicorn hunting, my friend.

Does he mean red on red? I didn't read it that way. That said, it's not a common color for 911's period, especially Turbo's

You're right, I thought for some reason he was looking for a red on red car, which truly would be unicorn hunting (and kinda ugly too lol).

Agree with your sentiment, not a common color at all.

I see it too but i think he just wasn't sure how to spell the name of the color.

Thanks guys! Not looking for red/red. I stated Carmon/ Carmona red since Porsche changed the color name from Carmon to Carmona in 2006. The color stayed the same and only the name changed. Since many people only know the color as either Carmon or Carmona, I decided to state both. Sorry for the confusion and I agree, that combination would be a little too much! I owned a 997C2S in Carmon red that I really should've kept!

Would love to find this combo and I'll keep looking. Here's the Tip car that I'm considering and a pic of my beloved 964:

Your 964 is f'ing sweet!!! Really nice looking sled.

That being said, and not to offend anyone here, I would avoid a tip. Manual TT of any year or PDK 2010 plus. Just my 2 cents.

Beautiful color, funny but its a dead ringer for my Silverado that is called Carmine red so I had to google
The color carmine comes from the pigment carmine, which is a deep red color obtained from the carminic acid produced by some scale insects, such as the cochineal and the Polish cochineal.

Tip?...forgotten... "Because Turbo" and you could add "Because Carmona"

I wish owners specified more interesting Colors for the 997 turbos

There is a very limited selection of ornate colors such as riviera blue or even any greens

I did see a metallic forest green turbo with tan Interior. Looked amazing and classy

The 991's are coming out in tons of interesting color combos Did anyone see that old Porsche color jade green - stunning

I agree.

I looked for a long time for my Macadamia Brown Metallic car. I would have purchased a green turbo if I had the chance, although I'm very happy with Macadamia.

Default Tip here

Never ever never owned an automatic Porsche, 15 and counting, But when I found a Baltic blue with natural grey leather and some other stuff and some comments praising the Tip by Hurley H I went for it. Don't regret it at all. As Kevin says "a tune really wakes up the tippy".

Samples on the Arena Red hood of my 993.

Ruby Red near, Carmona far.
