Price check / 2009 997tt opinion
Hi all,
I know this is subjective, but I'm hoping to know if I'm in the ballpark on price.
-2009 997tt
-manual
-full leather
-pccb
-black/black
-30,000 miles
~$80,000
Is this fair? All the talk of big money repairs on water cooling is making me a bit less confident on pricing. Any thoughts?

I think that's a decent price if it's a clean car.
Regarding repairs, pickup a Fidelity Platinum Warranty for around 5-6k and you are covered should you need anything major.
In hind site, I was cheap and purchased the basic power train for 3k. Had I purchased the Platinum I would have been ahead by a lot...
It's great piece of mind and the price on these contracts is negotiable...

I think for a well cared for PCCB car with 30k, you're closer to high 80s (or 90) than low 80s. There was an RLer who posted a beautiful black/black 2008 with low mileage that would be an easy 80-85k car.
I have an '07 with 30k and PCCB's that I wouldn't let go for much less than 80 either.

Does it have adaptive seats and sport chrono? The chrono is important and while the seats are Not a game changer that might be the only "big item" it doesnt have.

Thanks guys!
Car has chrono and sport seats.
Seems like a great combo. Can't bear selling my 964, so it'll be in addition to. Just want to make sure I'm getting a fair/ good price.

It would help if you could share the following:
- What was the original sticker price?
- More complete option list?
- Maintenance history available?
- Number of previous owners?
- Was the car tracked?
- Carfax status?
- Any pics of the exterior and interior?
Thanks JB

I think the price is quite good assuming the car checks out on a PPI.
With PCCB, adaptives, sport chrono this TT is very well optioned. Interior looks really nice too with the deviated stitching matching the belts/dials, it looks to also have the full leather center console which is nice.
I'd go for it if there are no cosmetic or mechanical issues.

OMG!!! Based on what you have provided I would say that $80K is a very good price. I'd have zero issues buying this car at that price. In Dec I paid more for a black/black 09 and the sticker was $143K with 24K miles 2 owner. Dude!!! Put a deposit on this car get the PPI for sure and buy with confidence you're getting a 2009!!! which will "always" be the Metzger version w/6 speed to buy, these 09s like yours are rare and getting harder to find. It has all the right options, PCCB, Adaptive Seats, Sports Chrono, 6 Speed, etc!!! Dang it, I'm jealous!!! Good Luck!!!! If you don't buy it please let me know...

Burning Brakes
In 3 years of ownership and several thousand miles I had to have my CPO put in a $.99 cent plastic door weather strip clip.
With all the talk of cooling pipes and epoxy breaking down I haven't seen one car that's not tracked have this issue.
Congratulations on your new ride.

Before you buy a warranty do your due diligence and research how many complaints the company has for not paying out. Before you write a check do your research...JB

That is a really good deal for an '09 with that spec, you shouldn't hesitate...looks so nice with the yellow dials, stiching and calipers. Also, I agree on the 09 epoxy upgrade and I have a CPO that I doubt that I will ever use...although, it's worth more if the car is a DD.
