Today on my way to the bank, I noticed a 90's 300zx tailgating me (It was hard not to notice him 3 inches from my bumper). I pulled in to the bank and parked, and he pulled in the space beside me.

"Wanna run that thang?"
Me: "Excuse me?"
Him: "You wanna run that thang?"
Me: "You mean race?"
Him: "Yeah, I need the money, and I think I could take you."
Me: Shaking head... "Uh, no."

He proceeds to tell me that his car is super fast and that he drives around all day looking for someone to race him for money. He said his car has a 370Z engine transplant with twin turbos... "and it won't lose to a Porsche." I wished him adieu.

What a chode.

I live in Miami.... It happens almost every day .... I tell them we can meet at Sebring if they want to race ...

Never had anyone ask me to race in one of the Porsche's but every once in a while I will get some twenty-something in a clapped out civic or integra with a fart can and body kits hanging off revving their motor at me at a stop light.

I usually see that nonsense happen to me in Florida on occasion.

It doesn't bother me I invite them to the race track or a meet time when I will be there.

~3 years ago during my road trip in my 997TT, I was dumb enough to drag race some guy in a Pro Street Chevy (I think?) in Montana or Idaho (I think?)...I do it once every 20 years. Not very memorable...
