Help with front hood
I've looked everywhere, so help me out. Battery is dead, tried to jump from the red fuse, can't get anything to work. Pulled both front wheel liners to look for emergency release pull cord. I can not find it. What do I do now?!?

maybe put a battery charger into the cigarette lighter an let it charge the (probably bad) battery a bit and you may have enough to power the hood release, also make sure that the car is unlocked, if enough juice by the key fob

Use jumper cables from another car to the red contact in the fuse box. Make sure you have a good ground. A jumper box wont work. Let the car fast idle and you should be able to activate the hood release.

If the battery was already reaching its service life before it was parked for the three years, you may not be able to generate the amps needed to turn the motor over, let alone start it. Some batteries even reverse polarity after time. Try a new battery

Maybe I have not be clear. I can't get the front hood to open. There is no way to get any electricity to the switch as far as I can tell. I pulled apart the car trying to find the emergency release, but it is nowhere. Does anyone have any bright ideas.

So the answer is, you can remove the bumper without opening the hood. On my turbo that is not possible. So for anyone else who wants to know. Just pull off the front bumper and you're done.

Glad you found a conventional solution. I would think we all could learn a lesson from this. That is, put the manual release cable in an accessible location. I've read where people are so afraid of getting their cars stolen, they wrap the cable up and put in a location in the bumper area that's near about impossible to find.
