I'd also consider picking up a wreck at COPART.

So we've decided to attempt a rebuild since it's an oddball year to source used or rebuilt. Has anyone gone this route and who seems to have the best kits? Thanks!

It is mostly a ZF transmission so I'd visit a transmission shop that specializes in those. ZF used to have a plant in SC.

As to parts, I found this https://www.importperformancetrans.c...ct_list&c=2683 showing a possible cost for a "upgraded" rebuild parts kit of $1,300+.

As TIPs don't fail that often, there have to be lots floating around the junk yards.
