After replacing the transmission and clutch, etc on our 99 Boxster, we started getting P0140,P0160 and a couple other O2 sensor related errors. The errors were for both post cat O2 sensors, so we didn’t believe two sensors went bad at the same time.

long story short, we found one wire pulled out of the connector on both sides of the exhaust.

while moving the exhaust around to make it easier to remove the transmission, we must have stressed both O2 sensor cables.

Reseated the pins/connectors and errors have not come back…..
