After a lifetime of waiting... I am now one of you!
Hello all,
When I was 8 years old, my Dad brought me to a Porsche dealership. We sat in all the 911's. That day, I was hooked. Since, I have bought every Excellence, 911 World, GT, Sports Car International, Evo, and others that I could get my hands on. It has been a constant in my life, attending PCA driving events, snapping shots of beautiful P-cars.
Well, this past Friday, with the support of my wife, we made it happen. I present to you our new (to us) 2002 986S.
(First time uploading photos, bear with me)
In a nutshell, 2002 Arctic Silver, Metropol Blue interior and top, and the optional matched hardtop. 36,000km's. The previous owner is a friend who babied it. So much so that he added custom mats over the factory carpets.
The PPI was done at the local dealer where it was religiously serviced, and the tech said he rarely if ever sees a car in such good order while performing a PPI.
We drove over 600km's this weekend, and I can honestly say, I do not believe I will ever go without a Porsche in my life again.
A lifelong obsessive lurker, turned owner.

*Warning*
-Porsche is very addicting, sometimes I find my self staring at my garage and picturing another one, like, 89' 930 Slantnose or a 95' to 97 993 Cab Tip hehehehehehe!

has the warranty lapsed yet? You may want to look into extending it with your local P-Car dealer or call
warrantydirect.com if you are still under the Factory warranty.

37yrs without a Porsche!!! Damn I worked 3 jobs at 17 to be able to afford one. I'm 37 now and could not imagine having gone so long without one. Once you start the collection, you will understand. Congrats!

What can say Dave, I am a cautious man.
Plus, the cars here are 30% more expensive. A new 987S with a ahrd top is listed at $89k. Ouch! Talk about a bad US/Can currency exchange!
