Default Anyone ever bought stainless steel door sills?

I'm looking to add some spice to my Boxster with some stainless steel door sills. Has anyone tried the ones from the guy on eBay who sells the "upgraded" rear speaker kit?

I've fitted factory ones - they just have a double sided tape fixing, and with a little paint prep are easy to install.

Not seen the EBAY ones.

I have ones that I bought off ebay. Can't remember the guy's name, but he also sold upgraded speakers. Had them for a few years. Happy with them (as happy as one can be with door sill guards).

Default Speaking of Ebay

So, speaking of the eBay guy....

Has anyone bought his "upgrade" package? He claims much better sound than the OEM kit. I'm about to upgrade my sound and was thinking about installing the OEM kit or having a custom box built.

Any opinions either way?

yes, and yes.
The guy who sells the rear speaker upgrade kit is Harvey, and his kit kicks ***. He also backs up his stuff. If you get the reap speakers, get the amp for them as well. Its worth it.

I also got the "ebay" SS sills, but not from him. They have the Porsche crest on them and look great. Very easy install.

Default Contributing?...

I had stainless steel ones that I put the Porsche crest on by cutting them out of the key fob you see here and then securing them on the sills with automotive grade double sided 3M emblem tape. Ya like?

Thanks for the welcome Rod....I can't post pics currently, because the car is in the shop (taking forever.....) getting the 3.4l 996 engine swap. But mine look exactly like the ones above....I bet the guy who sells them on ebay did exactly the same thing!!

Except on his, the crest is a little smaller in size, and the upper portion where it says Porsche is not in gold color like the rest of the crest....it's silverish. I've seen his version. Great product for the price though.

Yep, I think they would look great against the lapis blue. Would certainly contrast more than it does on my car.
