Finally!
I have been wanting a Boxster S forever and finally made a purchase. I'm a huge fan of rennlist and love this place! 2003 S with 36,000 miles. Apologies in advance for the poorly lit pics. Options are
Bose
18" Carrera Wheels
Cruise
Painted Roll Bars
Aluminum Gear Shift & Surround
Aluminum E-Brake
Heated Seats
Can someone please clarify once and for all about activating outside temp sensor? Don't car about OBC. A good shop to bring it to to have it done, if possible?
Thanks,Chris

Chris, congrats on the new ride!
You just need aluminum pedals and colored wheel crests, oh and the B&M SSK
If you do not have the On-board computer (option M659), you can still get the outside temperature display to work. All the electronics of the On-board computer are included in every Boxster (except some early 1997 models did not have the temperature sensor installed), but if you don't order the option, you don't get the stalk on the steering column to choose which feature to display. The On-board computer functionality displays below the digital speedometer readout underneath the tachometer.
To activate the temperature display, you will need the Porsche System Tester 2 computer to tell the car that it possesses the On-board computer, even though it doesn't. This will require a visit to your dealer. It will take about five minutes of your service department's time, but you should call ahead. Some service departments will charge for the service.
Using the Porsche System Tester 2, follow these steps:
Go under the "instruments" heading
Go to "modify coding"
Specify "with On-Board Computer"
Press the F8 key to commit the changes

Congrats!
I picked up as set of pedals on Ebay for about $100 delivered. Waiting for the weather to break to install and add some new Lloyd's matts.
just a suggestion try some 1Z leather cleaner(best I've used) for your seats and FK1 425 for your interior plastic, vinyl, wheels and paint..a very versatile product that wards off dust.
Just did my post winter clay barring and the clay went back in the jar almost as clean as it came out. That was a first.

Thank you for the all the replies, I am located just outside of Worcester, MA. The painted garage floor is great, easy to keep clean. I will have to install a front plate bracket once the car is registered so no need for bumper plugs (bummer). Can't wait till the warm weather comes and the salt if off the roads!

congratulations!
don't go for bumper plugs, the cops on the Pike don't take too kindly to that
it's going to be near 60 today, get that top down and go drive around, it's a BLAST! and with heated steats it's easily doable down to 50! I'm stuck with my hardtop on since my wife is away this week, driving home the last 2 days with the top on has killed me!
as for a shop, I heard people at Clair talking about doing it but I have no idea what it cost or anything, and Clair isn't exactly close to you, neither is Randolph Racing (they're in Stoughton) I don't know much about metro west shops but if you find one please post it since I'm probably moving out that way within the year
