Default Where do you keep your registration/etc?

In the 02 and previous models with no locking glove box, do you just keep important vehicle documents in the trunk? Or is there some hidden lockable space I'm unaware of?

I normally just weight them down with a handgun.

I just keep mine in the storage behind the seats. I suppose if the documents are small enough, you could put them in the center console's box - it's lockable, at least on mine.

The only thing that made me leery about the center console is it seems someone with strength greater than a 4 year old can get into it.

HOLY CRAP that's priceless...

Must be nice to live in Arizona and not the People's Republic of Kalifornia!!! Two of my long guns have to stay out of state, and two of my handguns had to be transfered through my parents (Florida and Michigan) before I could have them here...

And then there's the issue of SMOG CHECKS!!! (had to have some auto content!)

Oh yeah, and you owe me a keyboard for the soda I spit all over it after reading your response!!!

So that when I'm parked somewhere with the top down (I know, put the top up!) some schmoe can't walk off with my registration papers which have lots of personal information on them.

mine is in the front trunk... not too convenient when I get pulled over, but it's out of the way, and can't easily steal it, and can't blow away when I am going down the interstate with the top down and want a piece of gum from my console...

I just keep mine in my handy-dandy Rennlist car wallet under the steering wheel with the owner's manual. Not worried about it too much since the top is always up when parked due to the stealing of the windstops. If someone takes the car, it's insured. Besides, if they came by my house they'd just keep going and say "the Boxster must be all he has". LOL
