Default Another SuperCharged Boxster heads home-

Just wanted to share some pictures and details of one of our latest builds on a Boxster S. The client was great to work with and his 986 came together really well. He is making just over 330 at the crank with the centrifugal blower setup and is going to be driven for a few months, then is making the trip back for a possible intercooler/+boost combination.

This Boxster got the full treatment. iA SuperCharger Kit, polished High-Flow headers, 3" Dual high-flow exhaust, complete coil-over suspension, strut and sway bars, 40% short-throw, complete body kit, interior mods and a few other loose ends.

All that hard work and $$$ and there are still the ugly taillights?!

What I'd give to go drive that around a track.

Hard to see the supercharger in the picture. Any chance another pic could be included. Some of us really do like the mechanical beauty, you know like the pretty girl who well, lets just say is smart as well.

I had posted these before, but here is a couple shots from previous blower installs on a couple 986s. The 2.5 kit is 6295.00 and the 3.2 kit is 7295.00 (Sorry, no 2.7 kit released yet)- The 3.2 kit includes polished headers and injectors where-as the 2.5 kit doesn't require them. Shh...remember RennList members get a 10% discount... Here's a couple shots, sorry about the quality:

The whole idea of this build was to compliment the factory look of the Boxster and avoid the "Ricer" look so I hope you don't truely think the car looks sub-par. Thanks for the comments guys-

If you haven't had a chance and want to know more about imagineAuto stop by our new web log, basically just a collection of anything around the internet the gang here finds interesting and wants to share- Link is in my sig.

That's the blower on the left in the first pic right? Any issues with driving it in the rain (splashing through big puddles?

Personally I'd lose the wing and aero kit to make it more of a sleeper but that's a preference issue.

I think it looks great

what do you do about the loss of the cats in the headers? I only see one O2 sensor

There are 4 cats total on the car in stock form, if you notice a little more towards the rear of the car, two more cats and you can just barely see the second set of o2 sensors- No cels!

right, but the O2 sensors are (on a 2002 at least) before and after the cats on the headers, most aftermarket exhausts remove the 2nd cats in place of resonators or pipes, that would appear to make this setup incompatible with those types, is there an Imagine exhaust system to go with the SC?

I ask because I'm at one of those crossroads where I don't know if I should just get a 987S or start putting parts into my 986S
