Distilled water to top it off. Go buy a gallon of the official P-Car stuff when flushing.

Top it off with Water wetter from red line. It works.

Actually, I think Dex-cool is compatible, but use one from the list on Mike's web page. The Porsche stuff is just the same thing from an overpriced source.

Unless you get it right and from the right recommendation I don't think it is worth the chance. Some times it is not worth the risk. I am getting ready to do a coolant change in the 01 S. Genuine P car fluid and distilled water. Peace of mind is worth something. Not that you probably cannot use something else but make real sure it is right. If your recommender is going on hear say and not documented use with some serious miles behind it why risk it.

I gotta go along with using P stuff. it's more money, but hey it's cheap compared to the cost of repairs.

This is great. Still have to cal the dealer to find out the big why. I too had purchased the Porsche coolant. I drained my coolant, almost a florescent yellow. Then I began to mix the factory suff I purchased with distilled water for the change. Guess what, it was not yellow, it was a pinkish red. So what the heck did they put in my car when they did the RMS? You have the dealer do a repair and they use what ever they have. Come on. Will let the list know what kind of response I get. I bet you I paid for factory coolant and not the stuff they used I bet you that.

I'm pretty sure porsche coolant can come either yellow or pink, I think ToolPants had a picture on Renntech with 2 styrofoam cups from 2 different coolant bottles, one yellow, one pink

Pink was first used on the Cayenne. When the 987 came out pink was used. Pink has replaced yellow and they are ok to mix. I don't think you can buy yellow anymore, unless old stock is around.
