Default 97 Boxster Roll Bar Padding

Listmates,

Can anyone tell me the correct procedure for removing the roll bar padding. I need to install the retention clips for the windscreen (which require drilling the bar and pop riveting the clips underneath the padding)......

Many thanks,

Kim

I haven't removed mine, but I think you just pull them off. You might try gently prying them loose with a plastic putty knife to get them started.

All,

I have the answer.... yes, you simply (gently) pry them away from the bar....they are attached via a screw (embedded in the padding) that runs through a plastic clip that slips into a hole in the bar.... if you pry them very carefully, you'll not damage the clip ..... to reinstall, simply unscrew the clip from the screw, insert the clip into the bar, then place the screw(s)/padding back into position, and gently tap back into a fully installed position.

Happy Boxstering......
