Will 993 cup II wheels fit a 02 S?

I have a set of 993 Cup II wheels sitting in the garage and I am thinking about putting winter tires on them. They are 9 X 17 with a 55 offset for the rear though. The wheels on my S are 8.5 X17 with a 50 offset. Will the cup wheels work? I did a search and could not find anything. Anyone done this? The fronts are exactly the same size. TIA

they'll work fine, i'm running the Cup I's off my 928 for the winter...

Yes, 9x17ET55 will work on a Boxster. You will have 4mm clearence between the rim and the suspension strut.
