here's a weird one, ac clutch worked loose
I had the AC off this morning and on the way to work the bolt seems to have backed out, and when it did it dropped off and wedged itself between the block and the crank shaft pulley
It destroyed the crank shaft pulley and obviously the belt, no prior indications,, it just failed with a quiet "thunk" then popped up the battery/generator warning in the dash, had no power steering, and the temperature quickly skyrocketed because the water pump wasn't spinning... then I had it flat-bedded to EPE, I only hope that it's just the crank pulley that was damaged and not the crank itself
I've never had any work done on the AC so that's weird but whatever
pics you see, one is the AC, the washer still stuck on with grease, the 2nd is the clutch and what's left of the crank pulley, you can't see it in the picture but there is aluminum chunks everywhere
