Default Covertible top adhesive

Hi guys and gals!

My girlfriend just picked up an '01 Boxster and one of the first things I have noticed is that the convertible top has seemed to become detached from the metal bar right in the center of the car at the bottom of the top. (LOL: bottom of the top)

Any suggestions on how to re-attach it?

It appears there was previously some adhesive in there. Does anyone know what type and where to get?

use 3M auto body adhesive tape, you can find it in various widths and thicknesses

something like this: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...beSQHC842H7Fgl

you can order online tons of places, or sometimes find it in auto parts stores though they rarely carry the thin stuff

You can also use the black 3m weatherstrip adhesive glue. that stuff works even better. I recently redid my top on my '99.
