09 vs 07 base
2 cars similarly equipped
1. 09 , 25k miles,1 owner(dealer advertises female whatever that means),cpo,$34k
2. 07, 4600mi, 1 year cpo due to prior sale and not re-cpo'ed,$32k
09 would it face costly maintenace soon-30k service,tires? ,brakes? have to yet see maintenace records
07 seems to have been services but very little use.
does a car with dealer cpo need ppi?

09. Always get the newest you can afford. Plus, more HP 
A 4600 mile 5 year old car? it could have other issues hidden due to LACK of use. 09s is also CPOd which will get you a few years of coverage. You buy tires when you need them (miles, or age - and most recomend replacement at 6 years regardless of miles). I am sure you can call dealers for a 30K service cost.. May even get that negotiated into your purchase price on the '09.

You get a later model, a non_IMS engine. You can cure the 30k service, brakes and the tires with a bit of cash, but the generation of the car is not curable that way short of an engine transplant. And the CPO will last longer.
I would ask to see the CPO report that the dealer sends to Porsche but not do a PPI (and I usually recommend one). Get that CPO in writing as there are quirks in the warranty language that can bite you like who is selling it.
And I like the idea of negotiating the service and tire cost into the purchase price but you may not have to worry so much about it as Porsche has specs for the brakes and tires that must be met to CPO a car.
