2008 Boxster Top - Improper Closure on the Driver Corner
Dear Boxster Enthusiasts,
We have a '08 Boxster that still has a few months of warranty remaining. We have had the car twice serviced for the top not properly closing beneath the plastic piece as designed on both sides. Both times, the adjustments have played out with the top going back to overlapping the side pieces. This time it is just exhibiting the tendency on the driver side. When we put the car away for a few days, one of us stands next to the car as the top is elevating to tuck the corner in under the plastic piece as designed. Does something need to be replaced to repair this problem for good? Do I need to push the dealer to fix something in stead of just adjusting the top?
Warmly, Alan

Welcome Alan. Probably should use the Search but there's a great write-up on the Boxster Register site, you'll have to register as a user there. In short, there are elastic straps you can buy at a hobby shop, sewing store, etc. that you can replace in about 10 mins each side (less once you've done it before).
