There is some question as to whether this feature is available in cars sold in the USA. What does your owners manual have to say about this feature?

If the car supports this, or can be configured to support this behavior, I think it would be covered in the owners manual.

a 996 or 997 can do that, but the top latch is hydraulic. On the 986/987, it's manual. So no. your car does not support this and can not without a huge re-engineering of the convertible top.
