Had the CGT in for an oil change and battery replacement this week...Porsche of Nashville were fantastic to deal with !
I have attached a pic below of a CGT engine bay...on the bottom left you will note an air intake duct with an aluminum ring on it...obviously a matching one on the right too. These are held onto the piping end by an epoxy glue...on mine, the left was nearly completely off and the right was also loose. These things flying around loose in the engine bay might be "problematic". Give them a tug and make sure they are on tight. |

Wow, I always thought that was the edge of a fat pipe. Kind of a bummer knowing it's just a larger washer epoxied on.
My car is an early model 2004 with 9,000 miles and they are still on pretty tight. |

I have seen a CGT missing the left side ring.
