Default Buying a 2004 Cayenne Turbo

Hey everyone
Im a newbie here and I was looking for some advice on buying a Cayenne
The choices I have is either a 2004 Cayenne Turbo or a 2008 Cayenne S
i read as much as I could in the forums b and I thought I give it a try
my personal preference would be a newer car but test driving the Turbo enticed me more
the 2004 Turbo is in ok shape with cooling pipes and drive shaft taken care off on time
cosmetically is ok for the year no mods
the 2008 does look much better cosmetically and I'm test driving the car in a few days
that being said both sellers have agreed to take the cars to a qualified mechanic for a pre buy inspection
2004 Turbo has 105 k on the clock and 2008 Cayenne S has 126k
Any concern thoughts will be appreciated
Cheers

IMO go with the turbo. Super fast and fun to drive.Try to find a 2005 or newer as the bugs were being worked out in the 2003 - 2004 MY. Best of luck

Turbo for sure. You will find that not only is the leather interior much nicer than the plastic dash but the power... you experienced the power. I suspect driving the S at this point is a bit of a waste of time.

My first Cayenne was a then new 2004 S. Never had a single issue with that car, great car. Recently I picked up and '08 turbo, super clean 68k miles. I am hooked. My turbo with PDCC is amazing, fast comfortable and with all terrain tires it has been freaking out Jeep drivers on the local trails.

The turbo is tons of fun, that is what I would do.

I have an 04' CTT. Love the SUV and it's capabilities with inclement weather and performance. Only major issues I ever had was coolant pipes and driveshaft carrier bushing. I performed both repairs myself. I find the car very reliable and use it on long family trips. It was always dealer maintained prior to me so she is still very solid at 119k.

I am coming from an ML55, so there is no way I could have settled for the S. ;-)

Don't come in here like that tainting a prospective owner. You admitted you didn't have the brainz to check the oil and ran it super low knowingly.

That's not a question anyone here is able to answer. Without knowing the reason the Turbo/S has a salvage title it's actually impossible to answer.

Better questions get better answers.. ME..

I'd also suggest you read: https://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-...l#post14359694 - it will answer a lot of questions that do not need to be re-asked.

You know there are so many reasons to go Turbo or TTS, but I have to say the textured plastic dash in the lower trims is a show stopper for me. If someone told me I had to give up my TTS for an S, that would be the one thing that would put me in a different truck. Call me shallow, I can't look at that constantly.
