Key Fob Battery Dies Quickly
Hey all,
I have to replace with a new key battery every 3-4 months. Not a major issue, but it's a bit inconvenient. Chewing through a lot of batteries. Anyone else having this issue?

volt meter. use it. battery life is directly related to voltage. also age. batteries like these are OLD and its difficult to find ones made recently that have a decent charge. keep them refrigerated when not used.

3-4/mo is definitely not right. Do you have the 2nd keyfob you can use?
Any chance the keys are getting accidentally pressed in your pocket throughout the day?
Any water damage to the keyfob that could have caused some corrosion on the PCB?
I will inform my wife that part of the fridge will now be occupied by spare coin/aa/aaa/d cell batteries we have. I'm sure that'll be received well.
Also, not sure about your universe, but here on planet earth, freshly made CR2032 batteries are readily available. Recently picked up a bunch at Costco - it was that off-brand Duracell crap the OP mentioned.
