2004 CTT Transmission Servo Motor replacement
Kind of new issue not well documented here. Was getting PSM failure and 4 wheel drive faulty errors plus Cardan vibration.
Put it on charger to verify it wasn’t the battery, fiddled with the motor by disconnecting ave reconnecting. Reset the Transmission ECU via icarscan.
Decided to make a gamble to replace the servo motor by some of the reading on here....
eBay part
Transfer Case Box Motor For VW Touareg Porsche Cayenne

i went with A vs C to mitigate the ECU change.
Runs and corners excellent and for a year it’s been degraded driving much more than I realized.
cheap part for allot of fun in VirusLand

if you had an A go out and went and bought C, you’d be forced to upgrade the ECU.

There’s a nuance to changing servo motors. Earlier models had A type and A program. Later models had C and C type programming.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am reading the other thread as saying some people put in a C motor and leave to 2004 MY controller and have no issues. Other say to only change the controller if the new motor still leaves you with issues. Guess I can give a "C" motor a try and if I have issues, replace the control unit as well.
