Sport Mode Failure

Sport Mode Failure
2008 Cayanne S, when I click the Sport Mode Button there is a loud beep and "Sport Mode Failure" comes up on the dash.
Any idea what this might be or how to fix it?

Does your car have the air suspension or spring suspension? Do you get the failure message under any other circumstances, like when you go 80 mph on the highway?

If air suspension, check all the level sensors. A faulty sensor can trigger this.
If the link broke, it will be obvious. If an electrical failure, you may need Durametric to scan the suspension module to find it.

I got this for the first time on my 2008 957 Turbo. I'm going to hook up the Durametric tomorrow. There was no accompanying Chassis Failure, and the air suspension when adjusted independently still works.

In subsequent drives, no sign of the issue, and no codes on the Durametric.

Did you ever get this fixed... I have the same problem... 🙄😁

Same failure here.
Just recovered from multiple errors triggered by abs failure in cayenne S diesel. After that scan doesn't throwv any error codes but sports mode isn't turning on or traction control is unable to switch off from the button..
