Sorry to take too long to reply but if you are seeing fluid inside your connections, yes the harness inside the transmission needs to be replaced. It's really not that hard a job (as I referenced above in this post with a link to my other post) it is just dirty. I now have to check my splices under the carpet because I am getting the shift indicator issues. I have replaced my harness inside (last year) and my connections are dry. Since I am the 5th owner of this CTTS, I have no idea how the previous owners maintained or treated it (but indications are they didn't kinow ****). I'll be checking all the splices when I get back from my 3000 mile road trip next week. I'll report what I find.
