Default Where does that wire in the front driver side wheel well go?

Well, sh*t. I apparently yanked this from its home while dropping the front diff.. this is the wire in the corrugated wrap, in the driver side wheel well on a 957 CTTS. The one that is supposed to clip to the fender liner, above where the axle goes.

Does anybody know what this is supposed to plug into?

Where are you supposed to go?

Probably the servotronic steering rack.

The only 2 pin jr power timer connection I can recall in that area is for controlling the ferromag shocks.

Ha! I feel better about being confused about where this goes. Driver side only, so I’m thinking not wear sensors. They go up the pivot bearing arm…

I think it is steering and I’m screwed. I’ll be able to look closer next week.

I think this is the servotronic solenoid. Does anyone know if I can just swap out the solenoid, vs the whole steering rack?

how might I get one cheaply? Is it a crossover part. Might find elsewhere, separately? (The Porsche part is the full rack for $1K or so).

Yes it's the servotronic rack wire. Too bad about the broken plug. Just ignore it. All it does is lighten steering effort at low speeds. It's popular to unplug it to get slightly heavier steering at low speeds anyway.

Oh, good to know! No codes? Accidental upgrade? 😜
