I am running an iPhone with my Dynavin. Works great and has CarPlay.

Did you have the Bose radio?
From google it seems that to get all the speakers connected you need an optical fiblre interface?
There are far cheaper ones online do any work in the Porsche?
Cheers

Yes, I have Bose. Correct, you need a fiber optic (MOST) interface unit to connect an aftermarket head unit to the amplifier. The Dynavin was supplied with a converter. I cannot speak to the quality of other interfaces. The Cayenne uses the "MOST25" protocol, FYI.

keep in mind that the fiber optic is not for the speakers themselves, they are just regular speakers, the fiber optic if for the communication with the amp, steering wheel controls etc.

i just installed a kenwood saturday. i bought the kit and it worked perfect. steering wheel controls work, all is great.

do you have a link for the kit and what Kenwood? I would be happier with a Kenwood, Alpine etc.
cheers

Ditto to Cafe. What model did you use Steven, and did you do it yourself? Happy with it? I seem to find either an aftermarket chinese $400 piece that may or may not work, or my stereo installer wants a $2k total system. I'd just like apple play, bluetooth, and cherry would be the option for a bluetooth rear view camera. The wife really wants one (kids and bikes abound).

Yep this is what I want to know.
Is there a cheap, good adapter kit that will allow the use of a decent radio. Also what head units have people used?
I have seen some kits which are 6-700 dollars which is nuts when the digital adapter is 20-200 dollars. Can an adapter kit be made up?
Cheers
