I love our 2009 S, handling and engine response sold me after 13 BMWs over 39 years. BMW has lost its mojo.

This thread makes me wish I kept my gen 1 turbo. After 12 years of ownership and too many Porsche's I let it go and still regret it.

Did anyone read this written by Ilko?

No, but I'll go now. Did see his recent post a couple weeks ago enjoying his newly acquired red pepper.

My '05 base with nearly 180k miles has been throwing a CEL for a while. The truck runs fine, so I did the right thing and ignored it. I had my code reader out the other day and out of curiosity I plugged it into the Cayenne to see what the fuss was about. The motor's never had serious work - just plugs and coils - so I figured it was probably evap related and that I'd end up having to replace a bunch of intake parts.

Nope: One code for the passenger side downstream O2 sensor, which might mean a bad sensor or a failing cat. No biggie. I reset it and I've been driving for a few days with no CEL.

Also: My PSM fail light is on, so probably a bad sensor in one of the wheels. I'll troubleshoot that when it warms up.

I love this stupid thing.

I was thinking about replacing it when it got to 200k miles, but since I'm working from home now and will likely continue to do so until I retire, I have no idea if I'll ever get to that many miles. I might have my Cayenne for the rest of my life! I might even be buried in it.
