Default Exhaust mods?

I love my cayenne turboS. I have about 2300 miles on her, with no excessive oil consumption, steering wheel vibration, turbo lag, etc. Im thinking about changing the exhaust to get something with a little more rumble, sort of like a BMW X5 4.8is. I dont want anything too loud. Any ideas?? Thanks

http://9ff.de/en/products/details.ph...id=1&relID=797

Sport Exhaust System for Cayenne Turbo
Stainless steel polished
9ff- Sound- Design
2-level switch controlled sound adjustment
For standard or 9ff end pipes

Around $3K USD or so. 2 level switch (similar to PAG PSE) is nice.

Several forum members have installed cat bypass pipes, resulting in richer sound and some performance improvement. As if you need performance improvement on a Turbo S. I'm sure others will chime in.

BTW nice to have you back ltc. I hope you've been taking it easy on your software geeks at work.

Lewis,
Glad you are back. Have you seen this installed or know of anyone in the US that has done it?? This looks like a great way to go. Thanks!

I don't think Lewis ever actually left- he was just lurking... we'd miss him if he didn't enter into the conversations once in a while....
OT- just watched my TIVO of Monaco practice. Gotta go see that race in person someday and sit in the stands by the swimming pool...WOW!!!!!!

No, not in the US; seen in Germany.
I do not know of any other Cayenne exhaust with a 2 stage switch similar to Porsche Sport Exhaust. Their work is generally pretty high quality.
You could ask Gert at www.carnewal.com , perhaps he has additional info, being on that side of the pond.

I can have a bag packed in less than 10 minutes if you ever get tickets.

US importer for 9ff:
http://www.3tmotorsport.com/web2003/9ffpage.htm
3T Motorsport is the Exclusive US Distributor and Importer for 9ff Products
sales@3tmotorsport.com

Europipe (and some others) offer a return policy if you return the exhaust after install and are not happy (within a reasonable amount of run time).....I would imagine 9ff could provide something similar.

Tickets are really tough to get.. kind of like the Masters.. but if you're willing to pay to play.. they can be had..

Sidebar: I am doing 25th wedding anniversary European cruise (2 college/1HS kids are in tow.. yes, separate cabin!) and will be going to Monaco again as the ship stops there in three weeks.. been there a couple of times on biz and pleasure... even without being there for a race, they leave all the stands and most of the equipment and guardrails up.. so it is pretty cool to just walk around there and then close your eyes and imagine the engine noise, smells, etc. okay.. not exactly the same.. but we can dream!

MadFox, I love your OTs & Sidebars :-D When are you going on your trip? If you will be passing by Lake Como in mid July, stop by Villa d'Este and let's have coffee over our Nikon gear? :-D

My 05 has about the same miles and I just installed a Tubi exhaust. My dealer was opposed to the bypass and highly recommended the Tubi. They apparently have installed various exhausts and recommended the Tubi since I was also looking at just getting more of a rumble than a loud exhaust. I love it. The fit and finish is first rate and it set me back just over $2K.

Thanks for the replies guys. My dealer is recommending the SuperSprint exhaust. They say it gives me more rumble without being too loud. Any thoughts on Supersprint??? Thanks

yeah the supersprint looks nice, too... and go for the bypass pipes while you're at it.
