Default Maintenance Schedule

I can't seem to find a maintenance schedule in any of the books that came with my pre-owned '04 Cayenne S. Is there a separate book or is the schedule in the Owner's Manual? Is there a posting of the schedule online somewhere?

How does the service indicator work for oil changes? How does it sense when the oil needs changing. I can't seem to find a way to check how much time/mileage is remaining before the next service. Is it possible to check this on the display?

Thanks.

You can get all maintenance schedules (major and minor) from Loren's site, as a contributing member.
Or, you can purchase a maintenance book from your dealer's parts department.
Or, you can ask your dealer to simply print you out copies of the major/minor maintenance schedule checklists.

Not very well, although it has been getting better. Some new cars at PDI have to have the 'service now' indicator reset.

S/W algorithm based on time, mileage, RPM and other engine parameters (temperature, etc)

No, you just wait for the message to pop up.
