Default Wait for the 07's ?

I'm looking for a six cylinder Cayenne with all the off road equipment, Nav and Bose stereo. Which may be hard to find. Is there anything coming out in 07 that's worth waiting for or should I take the one I can find now?

Also per my experience with the loner Cayenne, do these cars have a problem with torque steer? Maybe this one just needs an alignment. Is the AC weak with Cayenne's? It's hot here in Tucson.

Search the forum. There isn't going to be an 07 model. There will be an early 08 though with a facelift and more horsepower for the V6.

As mrpc12 said, No 07's.....just that Ti Edition for the "extended" 06 model year and then an early 08 introduction next year.

In defense of a fellow Tucsonan (and hopefully fending off a full frontal assault from ltc), let me enter the fray.

I have an early MY'06 V6...after almost a year of driving it here in Tucson, AZ, here are my 'puts:
1. torque steer--there is none. The vehicle is AWD with a bias toward the rear (I don't remember exact the percentage though). The loaner you had probably experienced alignment or tire issues [or you happened to be driving down Valencia Blvd which will pull ANY vehicle off the road ]
2. AC works fine here...there is a lot more interior space to cool off than in a Boxster, so it will take a few more minutes to cool it all off. Just make sure you get the front windows tinted (I did mine just enough to match the factory tinit on the rear).
3. While mine was in the shop for a few days at Chapman, I just had a loaner CV6 with almost all the options you are looking for. It was Jarama (gold/tan) w/ a sand beige interior. If that's your style, ask them when it will be sold as a used vehicle, and you might be able to get a deal very soon. IIRC, the only thing it did not have that you are looking for is the "full off road package" which is easy to add via after purchase accessories...

How about leasing as a fall-back option? I really doubt residuals wold be affected?

I think my Chapman loner needs an alignment. They are trying to track one down for me. There is what I'm looking in Vegas and LA and I could go there too. So I think you are right get one and add on. With Mercedes when they remake a model the previous models take a hit, but Porsche's don't seem to have that problem as much. Thanks for your comments.

As far a leasing I put way to many to many miles on them for that. It's better sitting in a Porsche than in a airport.

As far as the other posts, we go well heeled in AZ, which seems to take care of Darwin's problem.

Is the CS not getting a horsepower increase?

Thanks,

To avoid much of the anticipated depreciation you might want to consider purchasing a low mileage CPO. The person who drives it off the lot takes most of the hit, so why not let it be someone else?
