Help a Touareg Owner? - Tire Pressures
I am a bit fanatical about correct tire pressure. I have the following info from VW about recommended tire sizes and associated pressures:
What I do not have is the equivalent information for 20" and 22" tires.
Given the similarity between my Touareg V8 and the Cayenne S, I would assume that tire and pressure recommendations would translate correctly from one platform to the other.
I beleive the recommended 20" tire size is 275/40 R 20 106Y, but would like to confirm. Also would like to know PAG recommended tire pressures for these tires.
Is there a recommended 22" tire? If so, can someone confirm the size/specs and the recommended tire pressures?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the info on the 20's, much appreciated.

It was my understanding that the Cayennes did have approved tire/wheel combinations in at least 20" and maybe 22". This being the case, I thought it would be an easy matter for someone to look on their door jamb (or owner's manual) and help me out.
Any info obtained from url you provided would be unreliable.
Thanks anyway for the response.

There are no factory tire size/pressure recommendations for 22" wheels because they are not a factory option on _any_ Cayenne.
Any 22" combo is going to be a custom thing that your wheel/tire dealer needs to help you with. They should have a book (I don't recall the name) that they can look in that gives them the correct combinations when you + your wheels. The pressure recommendations will take into account VW's recommendations, the new tire size and their load index.

I did a search on tire pressures and 22" wheels/tires, but never came up with a Porsche recommended pressure for any size, and it was unclear about whether 22" was a factory option on any Cayenne.
OK folks, with the info on recommended tire inflation pressure for the 20" 275/40-20 tires, I guess my info is complete.
Thank you to all who responded.

To see all factory wheel combinations you could go to the Porsche website:
http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...nt/n40/wheels/
Or drop by a Porsche dealer and pick up a catalog.
I've done both quite a while back and the catalog has more detail.
