Default sound system

installed a jlaudio 13w7 this weekend with the factory stock bose stereo and I must say it sounds really good! no rattles or anything. def. a good idea to add an aftermarket sub if you're into that type of thing.

I run two 12inch JL Audio W7's in my CTT.....

No rattles or annoying sounds......I did use a very minimal amount of dynomat however....

They each get 1000watts via a 2000watt USA amp.

Im under the post limit to get pics on here....but i will work on it

damn i bet that is loud! the factory bose holds up pretty well. relatively easy install if you have the second battery.

(my first post) I have a 2006 CS with most of the factory options. The Bose audio system w/6 disk changer, etc.

I must say however that my wifes Mini Cooper S convertible's Harman Kardon (sp)
audio system just blows mine away.

Would adding some JLs make me a contender?

the bass from the factory sub is non-existant. Adding a sub helped my SQ by quite a bit. The 14 speaker bose system holds up quite well with an aftermarket sub.

jl audio makes a stealth box with a w3. doesn't take up any trunk space.

Default No Bass! Mo Bass!

I was checking the forum for the exact same problem..."lack of bass despite the spare mounted sub woofer from the factory". I seems that fading from front to rear I lose all the bass! Didn't make sense to me. I thought the sub wasn't working. I unhooked it and noted little difference. Can this be? If so, can the JL Audio sub run with the existing system power or do I need an amp as well. Thanks all!
