CDR23 upgrade
I'm pretty happy with my base sound system... BUT, I have a little high frequency loss from when I was involved in competition Car Audio in my younger years (1987 Alpine Car Audio Nat'l SPL Champ) and back then we didn't wear ear protection. SO to make a long story short, I like brighter speakers than I used to. My Mirage HT speakers even sound too warm for my taste.
Can I easily replace my factory speakers with some high efficiency set to brighten and "open" up my sound a little while keeping OE amplification?? Maybe JL Audio or Diamond Audio... 90-93ish efficiency with Al or Ti domes??
And part 2, how hard WOULD it be to install a 4 channel amp that'd work neatly wthout gutting the OE wiring?
Wouldn't happen to be a contracted third party PCNA electrical engineer in the house??

to remove the EQ in the current amplifier (outputs), rendering it 'flat' and using the existing amplifier outputs as line level inputs to your (new) amplifier?

Have you considered using a device like the "Clean Sweep"

No...why would you ask?

How would you characterize the CDR23 system amplifier? Is it sufficient to drive aftermarket speakers with quality sound? I may just drop in some separates and that JL audio stealth sub.
Does the base Cayenne use 4 x 6.5"(or 5.25) and 6 x 1" tweeters?
