Default '08 rear hatch

Can someone who owns an '08 describe how the rear electronic hatch works?

Do you push a button to electronically close the hatch?

Any information would be appreciated. It will save me a trip to the dealer and I can sell my wife (and month old baby) on the concept.

I am trying to convince her of a Pepper. She's liking the Range Rover Sport.

To open the hatch slightly depress the rubber covered latch above the license plate cutout. You can also use the key fob to unlock and open it. To close the hatch there is a button on the bottom of the hatch that you depress. It cycles fairly quickly so you need to get out of it's way when closing. Hope this helps.

everything he said... plus there is a button on the driver door that also opens the hatch automatically when held down...

which is one of the major reasons (incl. its electric ops) why I will pick up a 2008 facelift S in Leipzig in two weeks time. The height is now much better than on the old model where I often hit my head

Hi Mike,

yeah, have been off for quite a while. After 4 years I will try to (re)post my upcoming Leipzig delivery experience when picking up my facelift S early July...

Hope you are still enjoying the front plate of my local dealer

Cheers,

ngfan
