Default When is the next generation cayenne coming out?

I bought a Cayenne S for my wife when they came out and she now wants a new car... we have 2 more kids than we had when it came out (3 vs 1) and she likes the Audi Q7 for the space.
I had her try the Q7 yesterday and she liked it but said the drive wasn't as good (suprise surprise) and the car felt really heavy. We're trying the new X5 tomorrow but I'd like to know if you know when the next Cayenne is due...
Thanks
JM

I guess at least 3-4 years from now.

Since the face lifted Cayenne just came out, I would imagine the next generation is still years away. With 3 kids, car seats, strollers, and what not, I doubt the new X5 is big enough. Have you look into the GL450/550? Those are very roomy like the Q7. For even more room, I'd suggest looking into full size SUV like Escalade or QX56

Don't think Porsche will have time to re-do a new Cayenne by 2009 as they will be busy with launching the various models of Panamera. Also the 911, Boxster and Cayman should all be due for redesign soon afterwards.

Go with the Q7 - that extra row seat will help while the little one's are little and it's a GREAT SUV!!!

The even have a S-Line (sport) version now. The Diesel will be KILLER!!!!

Here is a spy pic of the new Cayenne.

It's being tested by a early undercover adopter. It has been seen with 125cc dirt bike inside ( a true misfortune cookie).

The contestant at the Bonneville Speed trials was so fast, he sucked the test driver out of his seat.

The new amd fully redesigned Cayenne will be out in 2010. (This latest incarnation is more a refresh than a full redesign.) Porsche and VW are in a serious disagreement about the timing of the new Cayenne and Touareg release. Porsche wants to deliver new Cayennes about 6 months before VW delivers the new Touaregs. Since they are developed together and somewhat compete for buyers, VW is not okay with Porsche's timing.

This is an issue because of Porsche's stake in VW (and resulting level of control). No resolution in sight at this point. This is considered a bit of a litmus test of whether their relationship can hold as-is. Fun to watch.
