OK....just remember that you asked... I has happened to me twice though.
First, with the PCM off, and your foot off the brake pedal, turn the key to the right and hold it for 90 seconds. Then take the key out, put it back in and start the car. if that doesn't work, try it with the PCM on.
Failing that, open up the fuse box on the left drivers side and get out your fuse diagram (which isn't easy because most of them don't match up well to the diagram.
Pull the fuses for the PCM, CD Changer, Instrument Cluster, and Amplifier. I believe it will be two fuses, but maybe three. Check to make sure the fuses are all in great shape. If you have any spares, put them in place of those, even if they look ok, and then just keep the old one's as spares. Let the car sit for a couple of minutes, and then put the fuses back in. and start her up. My guess, is that you'll be all set.
I know it sounds like black magic, but I've done it successfully more than once, and it costs nothing to try.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Regards
Steve

I haven't had a chance to try it out. I am planning on pulling the fuses and giving a shot this morning.
Thanks for the heads up on the flannel and socks. I did buy an amp so if this doesn't work, I'll install that over the next weekend.
Will report back.....

If you are in a fuse pulling mood, just kill power to the amplifier (skips the whole 'radio code' thing.
Wait about.....give me a minute here....1 minute 26 seconds.....then reinstall the fuse.
It also helps if you are not wearing anything 'yellow'......inside joke regarding the car in the Autobahn logo.

Sorry to say this did not work. I pulled the fuses a couple of times, didn't wear any yellow and did wear flannel all to no avail...
Hoping the new amp will cure the problem.
I may try the ignition sequence again just to make sure but so far no luck.

Did replacing the amp fix the problem?
I opened up my amp and everything looks ok! No burning or melting etc! Is there a fuse inside the amp?
I pulled out the PCM and disconnected it all and reconnected in the sequence in the WSM! Still same error - amplifier, cd changer, phone not available.

I did this along time ago and don't remember the actual fuses. This is from another site that I found with a google search.
Did you try pulling your PCM fuses for a full reset? I believe it is fuses 8-12 on the passenger side fuse box which will disable everything in the Loop (sorry dont have the manual in front of me). I have an 06 with PCM 2.1 and the dealer replaced the PCM about a month ago, however they said they never actually identified a root cause to the problem and the same symptoms came back even after replacing the PCM. Through trial and error the Tech finally got it working, but it has over the past couple of weeks continued to due the same things you have described. Mine actually would turn itself on and blare the radio even with the key removed and car locked. I have pulled the fuses since then a couple of times and the system seems to work fine. I am still under CPO, and definitely glad after seeing the price of the new unit they installed. It was several thousand for the unit and that did not include labor.....
