At the PDS (Barber Racetrack, Birmgingham, ALA), the instructors drove us (4 to a car) around the track in some Turbo S Cayennes they had. I glanced over at the speedo on a short straight and saw 128mph. I'm sure they went faster in the longer straight sections, I was trying to keep and eye on the car in front of us so I could get a picture when it rolled. They handled pretty well for a big vehicle. I asked and was told the car had no modifications.
Lewis, I can only assume that, by posting this link, you are suggesting that, when dropping a Cayenne from high altitude, one should fold in the mirrors, so as to achieve maximal air speed before it hits the ground.
I can't imagine that there are many (any?) road courses in the US with long enough straights that would allow one to reach a speed in a Cayenne that would be substantially hampered by the mirrors. Maybe on a banked NASCAR oval.
