The hearing did take place on March 10, with a Final Order issued in favor of the Agreement on March 19th. A copy of the Final Order is on the Settlement website: http://coolantpipesettlement.com/docs/fao.pdf.
Of course, the Final Order is also subject to a possible appeal, so all that has to play out before any payouts would be made. But it looks promising so far.

They Called!
Ironically,I actually got a call back(last week) from someone at Porsche related to coolant pipes settlement. They verified that they had received my submission/request for settlement/reimbursement(so I at least took that as good). They also acknowledged that the settlement was also subject to appeal(which I quickly responded with why screw around with your client base related to faulty design) and he quickly went back into "don't shoot the messenger " I guess I don't know (when?) and (if?) I will get check but I at least know I'm on the records!

Lawyers for The Class and lawyers for Porsche jointly asked the district court (which had previously approved the settlement over this lawyer's objections and after giving her a hearing and which retains jurisdiction to set an appeal bond) to set a high appeal bond. In an order dated 6/30/14 the district court declined, on specific legal grounds, to set a high appeal bond as requested.
It is interesting that the court noted "[Her] position in this dispute appears to be that she is acting in good faith because she is an attorney who wishes to protect the class from what she perceives to be an unfair settlement. Meanwhile, however, the remaining class members - approximately 5,800 of whom have already filed claims for payment under the settlement agreement and none of whom have consented to have [her] represent them - cannot receive payment under the settlement agreement until [her] appeal concludes." I am new to the forum.... long time performance car enthusiast looking at picking up a '05 Cayenne S, 46k miles, same owner last 6 years, paperwork from authorized Porsche dealer for coolant pipe fix, coils and drive shaft jobs - and clean car fax. Any basic reactions from more experienced Cayenne owners on maintenance / reliability after these 3 items are fixed?
thanks in advance for any feedback, cheers!

my 04 CS i bought a month ago had 8 broken coils so i used the opportunity to lift the intake collector to see if mine already has the alu coolant pipes.
to my suprise i saw this:
correct me if i'm wrong but i think mine has been done already!
saves me a lot of money that i had planned to use for them alu pipes.

i have no idea how that happened, car has never been looked after, original coils still there. Car has only 45 k miles. Nevertheless i'm very happy, tomorrow new coils ar egoing in together with NGK spark plugs. I'm going to be a happy cruiser!
