Yes, I was able to spend all the time I needed to determine what I wanted. Bob McDonald at Walters in Riverside was extremely knowledgeable and helped me to decide in those areas where I was unsure which way to go.

On second thought... I may just go out to the dealer and bring one home to humor the wife.

YEAH! Good job. Nice build. I think it would be exactly what I would order. I wish mine had full leather. I guess jet black met. should be very similar to basalt. I had a basalt GT3 a few years back, liked that color a lot.

Sept. build means it gets here sometime in Oct. A long 3 months!

Looks great Rome. If you didn't have the heated steering wheel before, you'll like it... nice feature on those very cold, dead of winter days.

Yup, I do have it now...but the new one is better because you can turn it on when you want via a switch behind the wheel, as opposed to coming on at a pre-set temp. I also decided to add the heated windshield at the last minute. I do a lot of highway driving in the winter and get ice build up. This should solve that problem and keep the wind screen nice and clear, and make it easier for the wipers to do their job.

PS-- Did you drive the new one yet?

...Sports Steering Wheel with Paddles instead of "Multi-function steering wheel in leather" would be even better...

...dealers should do 60 day (instead of 30 days) lease rate lockins, starting the end of the month you ordered a car...It will give you 60+ days to lockin lease rate. Some dealers allow locking rate at the time of order or in the middle of 4mo wait timeperiod and IF in 60 days PCNA has lower rates, they could be substituted...

Word of caution,.. if you are locking lease rates at the month of your car delivery (4th month from the order placed) verify , that your dealer is giving you real current base PCNA money factor/residual value without additional "dealer back door" profit/fees misrepresenting to you, for example, PCNA current month money factor by .0002:

base PCNA money factor "reported by dealer" to customer= real current month base PCNA money factor + 0.0002

Enjoy your 11 CayS and please report your order/delivery progress to the board.

I like the look and feel of the sport wheel w/paddles better, but I need the convenience of having the control buttons on the wheel.

Not leasing, so those rates are not an issue. I expect to finance through Chase, arranged by the dealer. If they screw with the rates between now and then in a material way, or back-track on what they said they would give me in trade on my current Cayenne, again, in a material way, then there will be an issue to resolve. I'm expecting they will be good to their word.
