Quart #16 - 603 miles at 8713K.
Dealer wants to have the car for a day to perform some kind of "voodoo", next time the light comes on.
I am "proud" to have been told that "your CTT has the highest oil consumption in our dealership".

I'm currently looking into, how should I put it, alternative methods of resolving this issue. A couple of busted kneecaps and a broken jaw always work wonders, no?

1. about 90% daily usage= daily driving distance(30%) + driving style(60%)
2. about 10% factory assembly specific car "build precision".
Seems like 11 Cayenne irrelevant of model (V6, V8, V8 turbo) by default will consume oil, unless you drive it in a spirited/sporty way (with "Sport" button ON all the time) from the start(starting with the first car 100mi...) and drive daily longer (about 30-50 mi) trips on hiway speeds.
...suggestions for you:
- stop worrying too much about your car oil consumption, it's seems like it's normal for 2011 car release version
- you may adapt your driving style and car usage to lower your car oil consumption by following above described suggestions
- other 11 Cays used in NYC area regular traffic driving are using about the same or 30-40% less oil (in most optimistic driving usages/scenarios), based on my close observations for multiple 11 Cays. If anybody claims much LESS usage, he is either lying or not driving his car AT ALL in real life daily traffic, but for long trips to summer house ONLY...
...regarding your observation about "jumping" oil level indication by one segment one day and going back one segment lower the next day. Your observations ARE completely correct. It's happening on ALL 2011 Cays released so far. It's underdeveloped/ not 100% precise METHOD of oil measuring
implemented by PORSCHE AG in 2011 cars. Just make sure car is level, when taking measurement and , DO NOT base ACTUAL oil level measure on ONLY ONE reading. Drive about 30mi more and 1-2 days more and reconfirm oil level measure. 2011 oil measurement hardware TAKES many mi for actual oil measure reading to take place. And when you read oil level on car display, it's just a last memorized oil level reading for the past multiple days.
PS. ...one worst thing you can do especially for this car (11 Cayenne) is babying it in "comfort mode" and not driving it daily...

They printed this supplement but then actually issued a TI saying that the electronic measurement is not valid at all.
That is why they want your car there next time..sorry but no voodoo
Supplement to Cayenne Driver’s Manual
General information on display and measurement of the engine
oil level
Your Porsche Cayenne features an ultrasonic
sensor for automatically measuring the engine
oil level when the vehicle is parked and during
driving.
Information
Owing to the physical properties of the engine oil,
differing results may be obtained when the oil level
is measured in the parked vehicle and during
driving.
In order to ensure safe driving and to protect your
vehicle from damage due to low oil levels, these
are continuously updated in the system and
compared with the previously measured values
by the electronic control system during driving.
The oil level measurement system thereby
ensures reliable results during driving.
Information
Thanks to the continuous measurement, oil levels
displayed during driving provide a more reliable
result than during measurement of the oil level in
the parked vehicle.
It should be noted that the engine must be at
operating temperature and the oil temperature
displayed in the instrument cluster must be
at least 90 °C/194 °F.
If a display appears in the instrument cluster
regarding a low oil level, Porsche AG recommends
that the oil level be checked again in the
instrument cluster during driving after
a distance of at least 50 km (30 mls).
If the following warning messages appear during
driving:
“Minimum oil level reached”. f Immediately top up with
1 litre of engine oil.
“Oil level below minimum!”. f Immediately top up with
1.5 litres of engine oil.
CHANGE
Different procedure for measuring engine-oil level
Model year: 2011
Information
Document with limited validity
This Information is valid until 31 July 2011
Vehicle Type:
Cayenne S (92A)/Cayenne Turbo (92A)
Concerns: Measuring engine-oil level
Situation: Different procedure for measuring engine-oil level The procedure for measuring the engine-oil level on Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo vehicles has been changed. From now on, the oil level must no longer be measured using the instrument cluster as described previously, but only by measuring the oil level manually using PIWIS Tester II in accordance with the instructions: Checking engine-oil level using the PIWIS Tester. When interpreting the measured values displayed on PIWIS Tester II, the type of oil level sensor installed in the vehicle and the vehicle type (Cayenne S or Cayenne Turbo) must be taken into consideration as described in the Workshop Manual.
