Default 05 ctt trans issue

I have been searching all over the forums but not sure if what I have found matches my issue. If you step on the gas hard the trans stalls, starts to make a grinding noise and will not go until you back off the gas. It seems to drive normal and shift normal if shifting between 2 -5k rpm. No codes showing on the durametric and no idiot light. Does it with and with out psm on. Also when turning sharp on an incline i get a thump from the front. Any thoughts? Cardian shaft, front dif, cv joins? Or do I need an old priest, young priest and a chicken?
