Good afternoon everyone. I am going to purchase a CTT as soon as I can find the right one to replace my V10 Touareg that got totatled. I found a nice one owner 06 turbo s that is local for a good price, asking 33k. It is a one owner Florida car that is ultra clean. Car has been maintained and I inspected it throughly, just needs updated coolant pipes. Just trying to get an idea of what would be a good price to pay. Know its gonna need some things eventally so gotta factor that into the price. I was thinking 28k would be fair.

Of Should I stay away and just get a 04 with under 50k for the same price.

sorry its got 99k miles on it. Thats the only issue, dont want to be stuck with something that gonna be worth nothing later.

Make sure it's really a Turbo S, and not just somebody who stuck an "S" logo on a regular turbo...

When you get up above 100k the chart for the number of people willing to buy drops off a cliff -- so the value will naturally follow.

I often "sell" my personal cars to my company so we end up having them a long time and you need to be careful when buying in the 80-90k and even out to 100k. You may be lucky and have found a car with a lot of work done to it but cars tend to require a substantial amount of work at that milage.


In my area 33k for an Turbo S would be a very good price.

I second that,,, I've only gone over 100k miles with Honda car, which lasted 'til 175k miles, but it requires much more frequent service/maintenance/your_attention once it hits 100k miles.

$33k is still a big chunk of money. It's kindda funny,,, I've been looking around 1996-1998 911 CS/C4S w/ +100k miles, and the current market value is around $33-$40k. My wife thinks I'm crazy spending that much $$ to 15-13yrs old car with 100k miles.

Again, the value is in your head, ie, how bad do you want it?

I would say its a great price to step into any Turbo level of porsche and its not even a decade old.

I have a CTTS 2006 and although there are known problems, it is one heck of a ride. +1 on making sure it is a real 'S'. A simple clue would be the Turbo-S has it written on the panel below the PCM unit and I think they all came with 20" staggered offset wheels.
Price seems great - put some of that money aside for the repair fund but overall Enjoy!

I'm also in the market for a '06 CTTS and have been for some time. $33k is substantially lower than anything I've seen. Of course, most I've looked at had a fraction of the miles. In general, CTTS's with 40k-50k miles are going for $45k. Obviously, if you're OK with the mileage, then you're getting a solid deal on the price. On the upside, I believe that you'll be covered on the ignition coils when you have them replaced, as Porsche is now covering as an extended item. I've just received my check from Porsche North America for $500 for the replacement of my coils.

Thanks for the input guys. Still working on a finalizing the deal. I will post some pics when I get it home. I own my own auto reapir shop so I am not worried about repair costs but just dont want to have no value in this thing after a few more years.

Another question does anyone make aftermarket rotors for these, 800 bucks list is just nuts.

autohauz is good sometimes and a few other threads cover who has the best deals.........porschoemparts.com etc......its all random. Ebay could be hot one month and cold the next.

Wow, I see they dropped the price of that CTTS to $29.9k Surprised how many turbos are going for under $30k. I guess that means my CS is worth less than $20k now. Sure not holding value anymore...guess they're not collectors afterall LOL
