Drifting
I get about 19 - 23 mpg (us) average on both of mine, CTT gets longer runs GTS gets the shorter ones. I've never seen less than 500km (312m) to the tank...and if you want to know if I drive it you should ask my passengers!

Total capacity approx. 26.4 gallons
(100 liters), including approx. 3 gallons
(12 liters) reserve
If I had to guess - one of your level sensors (there are two of them) is defective.

IIRC, there were 2 tanks offered, ~20 gal and ~26 gal.
IIRC2, the US only received the ~26 gal tanks.
Perhaps you got one of the RoW tanks in your P!g?
If so, that would make it almost as valuable as a 2007 US Cayenne...all of which came equipped with 55 gallon tanks.

I keep looking for the "RESERVE TANK" switch under the dash, to get me 30 more miles to the nearest gas station. Can't seem to find it...

Three Wheelin'
You guys make me happy I got a CTTS as I get between 400~450 per tank, that is running it right down until the refuel light comes on then about another 5~10 miles. I do use a product known as Aces IV if any of you have ever heard of it but between my 4 cars I've only found it to increase mileage by about 1mpg. Mine drive is about 40% city & 60% highway but I usually do hit 80~100mph on the way home with a few spirited full throttle passes now & then when a passing lane opens up.
P.S. A '06 CTTS with the only mod being primary Cat bypasses & 55K miles.

When my light comes on it does not take much more than 20 gallons to fill it up -- maybe the same engineer designed both the gas gauge and the brake pad warning that goes off too early.
My weekend place is about 80 miles away and I normally take the CS -- I may use the truck for a short errand during the week -- but it normally sits ........couple of short trips over the weekend. I normally need to fill it with about 19 Gallons after the second trip --- so I am getting 17 - 18 MPG.

Hope this helps. I'm guessing you also do lots of short trips to achieve such good mileage.

Burning Brakes
Just completed a 1200 km (720 mile) trip. Average fuel economy was 9.5 litres per 100 km (around 25 MPG).
This was at an average 65 mph, through (and over) the mountains with 3 people, 2 dogs and all our stuff.
Yes, it is a V-6, but I was easily able to pass everything I wanted to .
