Default 04 Cayenne s No sound from Stereo

I have the CD/AM/FM unit without NAV and today the stereo will not put out any sound from the speakers , It seems the stereo is functioning properly, but absolutely no sound is coming out from the speakers. There was no noise or static when it happened, the sound just quuit while I was driving to work. Any ideas ??? Im thinking the amplifier ?? IT has the BOSE system

Just read through another post about this problem..... I went out and drove my car , and the stereo worked perfectly ..... There has to be a cure for this problem ??? It hasn't happened in the 6 months I have owned it, but it really pisses me off that it even happens as I commute 120kms every day and a stereo is a must !

Unfortunately happens periodically. I've found that if you turn it off and lock the car for about 5-10 minutes, it will reset and work fine again.

The sound is now totally gone and does not come back on .... I have it booked with the Dealer to diagnose the problem. The person I purchased the car from told me they changed out 3 Amplifiers on the car ??? IM thinking if they changed 3 amps out , there must be another problem ??

Intermittent head unit fiber optic transceiver
Cracked/Bent plastic optical fiber from head unit to amplifier

Is there a CDChanger or any other infotainment options in the car?
Any aftermarket equipment (mObridge/NAV-TV, etc) now or in the past?

I doubt you would have 3 bad amplifiers ...
